FAQS – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
WHAT DO I WEAR TO CLASS?
Whatever you choose to practice in should be comfortable (not too tight, not too loose). Your clothing should have some ‘give’ in the fabric to allow ease of movement. T-shirts, tank tops, shorts, or tights are recommended.
It is ideal that what you wear allows the teacher to view the alignment of your joints. As a result, tights are recommended over baggy track pants. Dressing in layers is recommended in order to more easily regulate your body temperature throughout the class.
Yoga is practiced barefoot so no special footwear is needed.
WHAT DO I BRING TO CLASS?
Just yourself, a bottle of water, and a good yoga mat. If you do not currently have a mat, you can contact us about purchasing a high-quality, environmentally friendly mat.
If you have very tight hamstrings or thighs, you may also wish to bring a yoga strap (or two) with you to class. You can also choose to use a towel, but straps are easier and more comfortable to use.
If you do not currently have yoga straps, you can contact us about purchasing high-quality India straps as well.
Do note that all personal items (coats, bags, cell-phones, etc.) should be left outside of the studio in the cubbies and on the hooks designated for them, so it is best not to bring anything unnecessary and valuable.

I’M NOT VERY FLEXIBLE, IS THAT A PROBLEM?
Not at all. Yoga is for every level of physical ability, shape, and size. Postures are very modifiable to suit all body types and abilities, and great benefits come with all levels of practice.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A CLASS DURING MY MODULE?
If you miss classes within a module, you can make it up by attending another class or classes within the same module. Make-up classes cannot be taken into future modules, however. Please do check with us to make sure that space is available for you to attend a particular class as your make-up (see Our Policies).
